See, 'meaning' is not like 'truth' or 'reality.' It actually is subjective because human brains actually do create it.https://twitter.com/EveKeneinan/status/820192779208945665 …

It is quite healthy & normal to decide what is meaningful to you, personally. Far less so to decide what is true or real in this way.

When ppl deny this, its because they do not really mean 'meaning' - they mean 'truth' or 'reality.' What life 'means' according to a claim

eg The meaning of life is to survive & procreate according to biological imperative or to serve God & attain heaven according to faith.

When ppl speak of giving their lives meaning, they don't make a truth claim. They refer to living with purpose. The purpose is subjective.

My purpose is about family, friends, dogs, history, languages, politics, secularism, human rights. It needn't have been abt any of those.
