Oh no. Neither narrative says that women are lesser. They say devoting life to husband, kids, home is noble & important.
Apparently the feminists attacking poor @sweden did take it to mean women are lesser.
Did they? USually its coz they think it implies women *shld* be seen as mothers/wives etc. Not politicians, doctors etc

That's not the point. Point is ppl not thinking women have anything else to offer the world & seeing them in only one role.
Again, IMO that's not remotely implied by the statement. It requires a conflation of motherhood (giving birth) w/ motherhood...
.. as an occupation. One can give birth AND pursue a career. I think the people getting triggered by this bland statement are..
Because its the only one being mentioned. If someone says 'Women are our doctors, lawyers & scientists' different result.
I'm pretty sure most people have a stronger emotional connection to their immediate family than to "doctors lawyers etc"
