Seems obvious but clearly it isn't cos it comes up over & over again. Strangely, always from ppl in favour of the law in question.
It's bizarre the pompous glee some ppl seem to get from denying things to other people for no valid reason. It's the law! Well, shld it be?
There's a good reason for insisting girls have swimming lessons. Its so they don't drown. Might not be able to accommodate single sex.
But if parents could provide evidence their daughter's were attending swimming lessons somewhere else, this would seem to resolve the problem
Don't know if this was a possibility but either way, the discussion of whether this is ethical gains nothing from 'It's the law.'
Ppl don't have to prove they have a good reason for wanting to do something. Society needs to show it has a good reason for not letting them
I would say society needs to show how it infringes on someone else's rights.
