Using the "No" before agreeing is confusing for Brits or Americans. In Japan, they also would use "No" to agree

'Agreed' is usually fine. Also for some reason I think it's clearer if you reply with 'no it's not' rather than just no.

Funnily enough, here in Argentina, when you say thank you ppl often reply with "no!" Meaning "don't mention it."
