Is it?Can't I have a consistent, universal moral framework which lets ppl do what they want as long as it doesn't harm others?

If pillowcases suddenly became the fashion, I'd see no moral objection providing it covered the bits required to be covered.

I see. So you would impose a moral obligation to cover the ears, yes?

What do you mean? That is not the law, is it? Genitals are.

That's just an arbitrary social construct attached to sexuality. Could just as easily have been the ears (may have forgotten 😁)

Well, sexuality being connected to genitals is not entirely arbitrary! But norms around it are. Just needs to be consistent.

I think I've said that I'm not a moral relativist. The same rules and freedoms must apply to all.

Very few principles (can't think of any) apply in all contexts

A lot of it comes down to common sense rather than an absolute rigid adherence to any simplistic claim of principle.

Yes, I'm advocating going with liberal, secular democracy. Do you think we differ somewhere. If so, where?

I'm pretty sure we're both liberals... but I think tolerance extends to those who would withdraw freedom to wear painted face

Because I'm a liberal, I understand need for conservatives, but don't agree that Care/Harm is only criteria for judgement
