Hmm. I'm not sure becoming more feminine, pretty & sweet is the biggest challenge for women in 2017 tho it cld be a personal goal, of course https://twitter.com/BrittPettibone/status/816333821729570816 …

Seems a bit limited to me with so much going on in the world. I'm not sure I can do 'sweet'. I can do 'kind!' I think that's v important.

I'd like more women in 2017 to reject nasty, silly & disempowering movements for gender equality especially SocJus feminism.

I'd like more of us to move forward, with men, into a mutually respectful & considerate, ethical, rational & humanist approach to gender.

I think most of us are already there & bitter, self-victimising gender ideologues are a noisy minority. Most of us quite like each other.

something that young women are increasingly taught to reject within themselves, & are outright harassed for expressing (eg: me)

Ultra-femininity is condemned by some feminists, I know. Do you find it is by society more widely?

it's becoming more and more mainstream as time goes on, among young people especially.

Interesting. My daughter finds extreme girliness in her classmates but she is 12. I'll have to see what Brit students think.

the distinction between"girly" aka gender roles / lace and ribbons, and feminine energy, is also important, imo.

The basic definition that makes sense to me is receptivity, heart centered. Generally we're taught that is powerless.

That makes sense to me but evolutionary psychology would explain women's greater emotionality, empathy etc on average.

Its easy to disregard femininity, or believe it refers to gender roles - but I think she's talking about the energy,
