Whereas if I say to a man 'I think' he often thinks that I am unsure rather than that this is what I think.

yeah, I wonder how we alter a male's perception of "I think" when spoken by a woman as opposed to by a man.

yeah, if I nod it's usually in agreement. I'll usually just say I'm listening if I want someone to continue.
