You were the person I thought might take issue with the word 'intuition' & I might be using it wrongly.

There's some scope to its definition but I basically see it as rote reasoning. If I play rapid/speed chess, I mostly use it.

But when I play longer games, I use some intuition for memorized patterns but mostly deep, rigorous calculation.
