It only deters ppl who don't want tribalism, movements, identity politics but that's OK. I shld have let label go long ago.

Sure but it becomes easier to let the label 'atheist' go if its gets mixed up with all sorts of other things you don't believe in.

But we can still criticise the tribalism, sectarianism in atheism as we do in religion, politics etc. Can still say its bad.

To me, its bad to have tribes & sects generally. So I do resent a simply descriptor becoming something tribal but that's life.
