@HPluckrose @Marvin_SuperDog @j_razor101 @JTheMagicRobot @sirtophamhat So fucking tired of the atheists that say "atheism _shouldn't_ be
It only deters ppl who don't want tribalism, movements, identity politics but that's OK. I shld have let label go long ago.
-
-
Anyone who doesn't want those things doesn't have to participate in them. Seems simple to me.
-
Sure but it becomes easier to let the label 'atheist' go if its gets mixed up with all sorts of other things you don't believe in.
-
Absolutely, but for anyone who mixes things together and does believe in all of them, I don't see the issue. As long as they
-
don't claim to represent atheism or atheists in general.
-
No, even the most anti-tribal ppl who argue against atheism+ don't say ppl can't have a range of interests. That's a good thing.
-
I'm talking beyond 'range of interests', talking about ppl who are angry w atheists who say their atheism informs othr things
-
Its natural to form ideologically motivated moral communities. Not angry when ppl do that but think resisting it much better.
-
For me, as I said, as long as they make it clear they *don't* represent atheism-as-a-whole I don't have an issue.
