I can't explain this and will just have to settle for him not dying and instead getting better and enjoying many more years of life.

He's on my lap. All 85 lbs of him.He almost never gets on sofa.Only when he feels ill.He's cross with me but I'm still his source of comfort

We have to keep bathing it firmly to get scab off so the abscess can drain. It's just come off & the hole is open. Progress

Yeah. We thought the fact it had stopped weeping was good. Vet said no. It should be weeping but scap preventing it.

After 6 weeks of taking her to the vet twice a week (2.5 hour round trip), one of our cats now runs from me when she sees me.
