I'm the one who goes on abt the wonderfulness of dogs whilst the husband rolls his eyes & says 'No more dogs!' But now we have a sick dog 1/

-
And I've nagged him in the past to say he loves the dogs. 'I like them! They're good dogs. Leave it!' He loves them just as much as I do. /3
-
And I notice this with men. (Huge generalisation coming up) They're less likely to call friendship bonds or animal bonds 'love' but its love
-
Also, might be a British thing. But also a man thing. I can say I love my friends easily. Not actually *to* my friends obv. Let's not go mad

You have a sick dog? :-( (David, you're the best.)
-
Yes, 4 tumours. Hopefully they're pre-cancerous like the last one but that cost £500 to deal with
-
Wow, that sucks. It does get expensive really quickly, doesn't it? (And so does pet insurance.) :-/
-
We just cancelled our pet insurance! We have 5 pets now & its ludicrously expensive. Thought it better to have savings.
-
I still think it is. It was costing nearly £1000 a year & this year we've saved £200!
-
Yes, I've never had insurance for that same reason.
-
Btw, did your friend get her dog back?
-
Not yet but he's with a lovely family in the countryside and is very happy and his Mum visits. :)
