I don't think we should gender minor annoyances (like "manthreading").But overuse of "authoritarian" is also bad.

"Authoritarian" implies a political program. It implies fascism. It is not interchangeable with the word "bossy."

No, I don't think so. Its useful to describe a controlling, censorious attitude in social justice now. Opposite of libertarian

We need to be able to discuss conflicting attitudes re: freedom now. Whether ppl shld be free to say what they want or not.

There's a difference between suggesting someone should do or not do something and trying to control them though.

Of course there is. So easy to make an argument for something being good or bad w/out telling ppl what to do.
