I don't think we should gender minor annoyances (like "manthreading").But overuse of "authoritarian" is also bad.

"Authoritarian" implies a political program. It implies fascism. It is not interchangeable with the word "bossy."

No, I don't think so. Its useful to describe a controlling, censorious attitude in social justice now. Opposite of libertarian

It's useful for signalling to your ingroup your shared contempt for the outgroup. It's not useful for fostering discussion.
