Baby Snake has cloudy eyes! His first shed (with me) is forthcoming. A milestone for every parent! I will keep it forever.

He's an ungrateful snake.Huge tank, many expensive things to hide in, climb on & bask under & he lives in one corner under a shoebox lid.
-
-
No! He's still a sweetie. Just likely to get a little tense & hiss at random objects & everything. We can relate, surely?!
-
Sure, but are you saying cats aren't sweet? Are you a... felinist!

-
Yes. They are fluffy sadistic psychopaths with big eyes whilst snakes are scaly little sweethearts with tiny eyes & a bad rep.

Bet it has mouse breath. (Yes so does my snake but that's not comparable because reasons)

For a snake, preparing for a shed feels a lot like PMT (from my anthropomorphic observations). Everything induces grumpiness. Poor baby.
-
How does the grumpiness of the snake manifest itself? I'm intrigued!
-
A kind of 'hissing under the breath.' You know how dogs can have an loud angry growl & a grumpy rumble? Snakes hiss like this too!
-
You become sensitive to the meaning of sounds when observing on a daily basis - I'm finding same with 4wk old grandson!
-
How lovely!
-
He needs to have that tummy raspberried urgently & then the chubby chops covered in kisses. I volunteer! Beautiful.
-
Thanks! Evolution has built in strange compulsion in grandparents to bore others with pics.and talk in high pitched silly voice!

I'll try substituting one of these for a mouse and see if he goes for it.pic.twitter.com/vqcUx4Pspq
