And it was Adam's fault anyway coz he'd heard from God himself & had supposedly stronger intellect & morals as a man. Is that not the case?pic.twitter.com/dIRIg5TALp
But that's probably quite enough early 17th century proto-feminist religious poetry. XD
The point is this kind of MRA would bring back this narrative. Fortunately the rest of society, male & female, just points & laughs.
Pardon, but I don't think MGTOW and MRA are quite the same thing (though there is some amount of overlap).
No, they're not. Using MRA in broadest sense of those who address issues facing men. Not sure if Larme is MGTOW too.
The video you linked kind of says MGTOW in big letters. -_0
Yes, but I'm talking abt a certain of MRA generally. Its not just MGTOWs who say this.
There are Biblical episodes where the women did good and the men did not. Sin of the Golden Calf being one of them.
.@LotakX Men &women have different sins.Women-verbal abuse, vanity, fickleness. Men- violence, intellectual pride, forbidden knowledge seeking
.@LotakX You could do a lot with theological gender traits & evolutionary psychology. So much depends on the framing.
I'm planning an essay looking at 'mansplaining' in Christian history & relating it to an equivalent 'womanscolding' & 'womanwaffling.'
Theology tells us nothing abt god, obv, but it tells us a lot abt how ppl have consistently seen men & women's innate natures.
And much of it backs up what evolutionary psychology tells us and stereotypes today.
Theological writing might not call wanting to show & assert your knowledge 'mansplaining' but it addresses it & associates it with men.
It equally associates scolding, not saying what you mean and taking forever to get to the point with women.
If I had a shekel for every time a religious woman told me, "God blessed women with extra holiness" - and ignores misogyny.
