When did ageism switch from being discrimination against older workers etc to not accepting that millennials know best about everything?

Not in my house. The rule is: you get to make decisions when you're 18 and/or leave my house.

I mean about activities etc. I got dragged on endless wine-tasting & chateau visiting trips to France. Now holiday camps.

Hmm. I can't really relate to that. We did culture and themeparks when I was little. My kids seem to enjoy this combo as well.

Yeah. In my childhood, kids mostly just had to tag along with parents. Now much more focus on kids needs.

More stuff to entertain them on long trips, things for them to do, child-friendly places etc.

Yes, I can see how this would prevent them from adapting to difficult situations. In this case you avoid conflict.

I think there's just been a shift to considering kids as having their own psychology rather than mini-adults.
