Atheism does stand for something. If we like it or not, labels exist and do have meaning. Then we better have a correct label.
People don't stop being atheists if they have an attitude towards religion which differs from the one you'd like associated.

No, just like humanists are also atheist but choose to be much more (embrace human dignity etc.). Hence the different label.

Yes, ppl have many descriptors. I am atheist, humanist, anti-theist, sceptic, secularist, free-thinker etc.
