I'm an atheist living in a small town surrounded on all sides by devout Catholics who I'm sure think I will be burning in hell
We're talking abt their own belief that a God who punishes wrongthink is doing the right thing morally.

Obv many libertarians don't believe in this kind of God or don't think abt or justify hell for ppl with different views.

But I'm thinking abt some I've met who do & what this means.

But they defend the rights of ppl to live by different moral codes in real life.

Yes because it's a compromise that leaves them with the freedom they want.
