I'm almost convinced that libertarianism is a personality trait above all else but this undermined by libertarians with v authoritarian gods
Yes, you will ultimately be rewarded or punished for whether you have thought the right things & followed the right rules.

I can see libertarians believing this to be true. I can't see them being happy with it. Unless its not a consistent personality trait

Same sport. Or any situation with rules. But as long as you can pick which set of rules to follow, I don't see it as a conflict.
-
I don't think they think that tho. They really think the god is real & he's the only one & he's setting rules which apply to all.
-
But I suspect you are right & they do use this thinking. It just doesn't work if they are actually right.
-
If they actually got to heaven with same psychology as now & saw ppl being tortured for thoughtcrime, they'd see the problem.
-
Ideally, they'd probably want everyone's God to be real for them but can't say this coz their god has the 'One True God' rule.
-
I absolutely agree with that. And they almost take that attitude in life despite not thinking it's true.
-
They are VERY slippery on Hell, too. They will dodge at any cost, or try and make it seem more palatable, or avoid etc
-
Yes! That is why I am always surprised when I meet one who believes & justifies their god punishing thought-crime horribly!
