I'm almost convinced that libertarianism is a personality trait above all else but this undermined by libertarians with v authoritarian gods
So the ppl who believe in & justify a god who punishes ppl for thinking the wrong thing are #NoTrueLibertarians?

No they're true libertarians. You can believe that and still be pretty open and accepting of other religions and points of view.
-
But can you be libertarian and personally think its morally justifiable to punish ppl for wrongthink?
-
I thought you were referring to the abstract realm of the soul, not the real political world.
-
Talking abt psychology, philosophy, personal ethics, yes. I see an inconsistency if libertarianism is a psych trait.

I'm an atheist living in a small town surrounded on all sides by devout Catholics who I'm sure think I will be burning in hell
-
Are the libertarians tho?
-
People are complicated, it's difficult to make judgments.

...I know. I'm talking abt libertarianism as a personality trait & how this tallies w belief in an authoritarian god.
