Free speech in the UK has been limited for some time & it's likely to get worse. Don't let in happen there, America.

FOE can be unlimited if one can burn a copy of a holy book openly with the law enforcement supporting you. Only then.
@HPluckrose -
Well, yeah. And all other forms of expression too, obv.
-
Unlimited has to be unlimited. As long as there is No Law Against something.
@HPluckrose Liberals seem to draw line when minority involved -
Yes, we've all observed this and criticised it.

I missed that case!

There was another one on Facebook. A 15 year old boy. And a prosecution for someone saying Brit soldiers shld die & go to Hell.
-
Its intended to cause distress, upset & newsprint. They know & understand why they are punished, want it.
-
Even if they did, that wouldn't make it right. I want to be able to offend the sensibilities of religious ppl without being arrested
-
They'd have enjoyed it if it had turned into a fight? I'm sure they'd have supported your right to protest against islam.
-
Course, they wouldn't. Banning me from doing it would be wrong. I don't want to be wrong as well.

£50 fine verses revocation of citizenship/year in jail... Hmm... think I'm still on the UK side on this one ;)
-
I'm not! Penalty is not the point. Shouldn't prosecute free expression! Other ppl arrested for doing same on Facebook!
-
Would I get prosecuted if I burnt a copy of the quran? Or just death threats and salty upset Muslims?
-
Probably! There's also been a clamp-down of freedom of speech *about* Islam.
