I hope the boa breeder lets us spend some time with the baby snakes tomorrow. Its a bit different to picking out a puppy.

Are there *any* friendly snakes? I always heard reptiles weren't capable of loving or caring about their keepers.
-
I don't know that they can feel affection. They can certainly like to be with you. My last boa always wanted to be near or around me
-
Sure it wasn't so he could eat you ? (Semi serious question - I know almost nothing about snakes)
-
He felt safe and warm when close to me. If others tried to hold him, he'd often stretch back to me. He was 6 ft long & 15lbs.

Wife just suggested what to do if that happens. You don't want to hear. But what does she know, she used to hunt tarantulas.

Specifically boas, they tend to warm up to their human pretty well, specially if you "wear" it regularly so it... warms up.
