Erebus' tank has arrived! Should I put it together now so the husband doesn't have to or will this end in disaster. How hard can it be?

Husband lacks confidence in my ability to put furniture together based solely on my track record of trying to put furniture together #Sexism

On the one hand, if I do it, it will show him. On the other, if I fuck it up & damage the fittings, there will be words. And looks. Forever.

I am the least practical person ever. In the event of an apocalyptic scenario, I suspect I would die almost immediately. This worries me.

I think I should probably attend classes on how to hunt things, make fire, purify water, build shelters etc

There's sod all to hunt in this country. You already own shelter, and fire is trivial unless you try to make it hard.

Small, simple, doable blocks that make you incredibly useful to a community, which means they then feed and protect you ;)

"Practical" is a group of interconnected skills, and a willingness to say "help!". It's the last bit that's important.

I can do the latter but little of the former. Husband the other way round. Maybe we'd survive if we stuck together.

There are probably easier things to practice on than a terrarium. I'd wait for the hubby.

It's just a box! But I think I will leave it. He would want me to & he paid for it.

He'd probably prefer that. Putting together new stuff is half the fun.
