Baby Erebus is coming on Saturday! He is currently living with his 15 siblings a few miles away. I will know which one he is when I see him.

My parents have declined to take on any baby-sitting responsibilities. I appealed to them saying Erebus will be their grandsnake but no.
-
I will have to cuddle him close on the way home to keep him warm. He will like this but probably be a fidget coz he's a baby.
-
The worry with baby boas is if they get away from you and then hide. It will be a relief when he's big enough not to get lost.
-
I lost a Texas Rat Snake called Houdini once. Discovered years later my neighbours had discovered him on their curtains & found him a home.
-
No-one knew I had snakes coz weren't allowed pets there. I'm very lucky they didn't kill him. The wife does not speak to me now tho

My first real pet was a snake. (only fish and bugs before Houdini, named after the great escape artist due to a similar habit).

Mine snuck into farmhouse wall, weeks later could not fit through same hole. A lot less mice after, though. :D
-
My Houdini must have crawled along the outside of the building 11 floors up!
-
Why not the inside? Mice make paths and leave their scent on them, which snakes can follow.
-
Can't see how he cld have got out of my flat & into next doors other than via windows. Concrete structure & I'd blocked all gaps
-
And he was found on the curtain rail.
