Makes me wary of thanking the men in my life for everything they've done to make it such a good one. But they have & I love them very much.

I did make my dad his favourite meal last night! He's the reason I've always assumed men will treat me well. The rest of them confirmed this

I hope I've always treated men well too. That is just as important. Men need to be loved, liked & respected by the women in their lives too.

My dad wanted my mother & me to promise we'd never *waste* the money he intends to leave us on him if he is unable to make own decisions.

Apparently, we're supposed to dump him in the cheapest care home possible & not get the best medical care etc. We didn't think so.

Told him we'd spend whatever it took to keep him well &happy & with us 4 as long as he was both but let him go if we thought he'd want that.

He's always thought his job was to ensure we're both well-provided for. Sometimes we worry he doesn't realise having him is more important.

I hate the fact that he's beginning to get old & frail but I will value the opportunity to take care of him as he's always taken care of me.

If he lets me. I'll have to be very sneaky about it & hide the fact that that's what I'm doing. Bloody men!

I think it's hard to get sucked into gender wars when your parents have always loved, liked & respected each other. Mine have.pic.twitter.com/i69a7qDHVw

As a crazy dog-lover, I've always had a tendency to think abt what breed of dog ppl I love are like. My dad & husband are both St Bernard's.
