I've tended to be reductionist when it comes to religion - any ideas based on a god existing are flawed from the premise so attack premise.
What I mean abt it needing to be part of the conversation but not part of every conversation.

well it's pretty relevant, but it's not going to convince many people.

in that case I agree that it's probably not helping. Oftentimes christians attempt to take high ground, but just remind them no.
