Sometimes this extends into an assertion that no-one shld care what other ppl believe & even that its morally wrong or presumptuous to care

I don't agree with this at all. It wld be wrong & presumptuous to badger ppl into talking to you abt what they believe if don't want to but
-
It is still OK to care about what is true & the best ways to establish what is true. To be sceptical & argue for scepticism.
-
In terms of *social acceptability*, it should be equally acceptable to argue that scepticism is good as it is to argue that faith is.
-
Mustn't accept situation where ppl can speak of the value of faith uncontroversially but spking of value of scepticism is seen as offensive
-
Where faith is important to some ppl & not an attack on sceptics but sceptical ways of thinking are mean-spirited attacks on people of faith
-
Mean-spirited attacks on religious ppl & on sceptics do happen ofc but civil discussions arguing either case shld be equally acceptable.

If these are moral beliefs they must be reflected in what they do.
-
Yes but only the latter is anyone's business, the thinking goes.
