Sure, you just can't corner them and force them to listen. They must have the freedom to ignore you.
I do. I think ppl shld be able to ask to be left alone & if ignored have recourse to law to ensure they are.

No-one has the right to someone else's attention and personal space. If asked to leave someone alone, shld do that.
-
now seriously... if you stop ppl from talking, they might resort to more desperate meassures if the situation is dire. thats bad
-
I'm not stopping anyone from talking. Only asking that they don't talk to me. Do I not have right to move abt freely.
-
you do and did not question that. like i said, no physical contact. if they hold you against your will, thats not fair game.
-
But I can't complain if they just follow me everywhere forcing me to listen to them? Harassment is OK?
-
yeah, it is a bad think if you dont get medical help for somebody who clearly needs it. dont you agree with that?

yeah, but i am pretty sure, other laws would allready apply to make a restraining order unnecessary.
-
Harassment laws? Yes. They usually result in a restraining order. Daughters ex also got fine & compulsory hospitalisation.
-
Because it had gone on for seven years.
-
