@SwiftOnSecurity ??? I genuinely don't know what he means.
Yes. This seems rather like stating the obvious. Things are always relevant till they aren't.

One can't help but wonder "what does it all matter really? After 80 years I'll be dead"
-
I think we can. Things mattering is not intrinsically linked to how long they matter for. Things end.
-
We don't think "what does it matter where I work. retire in 40 years" What I eat. It'll be gone in 20 mins"
-
Because as long as you are alive it did matter, it gives you pleasant memories & contributes to overall happiness
-
Exactly. Life is like that.
-
Makes me realize this is hard to articulate. Will think of how to better explain it from my view
-
Please do.I'm forever being told by religious ppl that life is meaningless if not eternal &important outside my life

And I think we should want to keep them relevant for as long as we can, hence trying to solve death
-
But we can't. Is it imperative to make things matter longer? Why?
-
We can. Death is ultimately a biological process whose code can be cracked
-
Maybe. But we'll still end eventually & chance of living longer is less important to me than living well now.
