I'm not a hopeless idealist who think solutions are easy but I get tired of ppl who just want to say everything is terrible & always will be
-
This is a big problem with SocJus forms of feminism & LGBT rights activism - failing to celebrate progress & determination to be pessimistic
-
But the problem on centre-Left is a bit different. They feel disheartened & futile coz not being heard. Def won't be if you don't speak tho!
-
Public attitudes are problem but we're the public! So are all ppl we speak to!Matters whether we say 'we're fucked' or 'how do we fix this?'
-

This is v similar, I think, 2 all the cries of "why isn't any1 talking abt x?" by ppl who r talking abt it at that very moment.
-
And "why doesn't the media cover y?" by ppl sharing a link from a newspaper on that subject in that very tweet.
