I encountered the 'anecdotal evidence is more reliable than statistical evidence' argument again yesterday. I see why this is tempting.

Sometimes think it wld be easier if I was a science/maths type person. I seem to keep explaining v basic things abt evolution & statistics.

When these things do not interest me very much at all. I'm interested in culture & gender & religion & psychology.

But you can't approach these topics without encountering someone saying very silly things abt science & statistics. Its very frustrating.
