I've been in two fights in my life. One when I was ten. A bully that I wouldn't fight hit a sibling. I fought, then.

The second - in my mid-20s. My partner at the time was attacked outside of our flat. I heard the raucous, grabbed a stick.

I didn't realise when I opened the door that there were three attackers. My stick worked well.

I like to think I'm not violent: I know that I can be. These two instances show that I am, disproportionately so.
