Psst, that's what objective ethics is, in the scientific sense. Of course, linking it to a god's impossible. :D

That's just human. If something is only real to one species on one planet, can it be objective?

Actually, yes. Key thing to remember is that "objective" only means "independent of the observer," or some such.

OK, if we're defining 'objective' as 'consistently true among homo sapiens' then moral emotions objectively exist

I strongly suspect the Jews and gays that were killed would disagree. And they are the ones that would know.

But this is a hypothetical point. If everyone, inc victims, thought it good, humanity wld be unrecognisable.

Because our brains are thinking so. If no-1's brain thought something wrong, that aspect of morality wld not exist

if a psychopath kills everyone so that only his brain still had signals, then his mass murder would not be evil?

Indeed, that I could never agree with. Ethics can't depend on bystanders, because agents are bystanders.

Ppl who cared abt ethics would see the problem but if they didn't exist, neither would ethics.

Not necessarily. It looks attractive, but I think there would still be ethics. It would just be inactive.

I think that might be human arrogance. To think our concepts are important outsise us.
