I'm having a 'what I should have said' moment & its obstructing my 'what I should be doing' day. So I'll say it to you lot & then get on!

To say criticism of Clinton all about her gender discounts the possibility that she has ever said or done anything worth evaluating.
-
Furthermore, 'All criticism of Clinton includes a misogynistic element' necessarily means 'All criticism of Clinton' is bad. Don't do it.'
-
If someone can not be criticised, that person can not be the president of a vast & powerful democracy.
-
To say that any criticism of a woman's work is misogyny doesn't promote women's equality. It invalidates us as serious & influential people.
-
Unless you genuinely think that women can never be wrong about anything (in which case you're mad) you are advocating humouring us.
-
Please don't do that. Treat us like normal people. I still have a huge amount of respect for this bloke, btw, but do wish I'd said that! XD
-
thanks for this.was having a similar argument with someone. to me it is again taking us back to "let's protect them" situation.

.
@honneybadger Yes! Protecting women from criticism looks very like not taking our ideas seriously. I wrote this about it in a blog.pic.twitter.com/np68P67vA3
