I hope you're joking. I mean, you;re not insane, so you must be.
No, honestly! Boas and placid dogs get on! The snakes like the warmth so they snuggle up to them.

I'm not planning to leave them unsupervised obviously! A dog could do serious harm to a boa if it felt threatened.
-
Is there some kind of miniature boa I'm not aware of?
-
??? Have you met aggressive boas. My two - 8 ft & 6ft not strong enough to constrict me & also very placid.
-
Was warned not to feed live rats (not that I would) cos the rat can kill the boa if boa not hungry enough to constrict fast.
-
Are they the sloths of snakes?
-
They move fast enough when hungry! If not, they've been known to let rats gnaw them.
-
Not usually but if a boa is striking rather than constricting & a rat is fighting back, snake can still lose. Evenly matched
-
Is the niche of the boa just to conserve energy?

I have a dogo argentino, but I still wouldn't let a constriction near him! Dogs get killed by constrictor snakes
-
Not strong enough to harm a Labrador & wouldn't try cos can't eat them! However, I will supervise & never leave alone.
-
Well, I trust you to be responsible, but would all people be?
-
No! Horror stories!
