Who is 'demanding?' Don't you think if it were possible for men to have half the pregnancies, women would have demanded that by now? https://twitter.com/DoctorWallis/status/792099918353731586 …
The choice a woman has - to produce a child - is very diff to choice to pay for a child.Saying 'No' & walking away much easier
-
-
And yet "I want a baby & you don't. I have the choice so its happening & you're paying half forever' is not fair either!
-
This is why the ethical conversation around this needs to consider emotional/psychological needs as well as financial ones.

A woman who produces a child can say 'No' & walk away any time, with state support. The state will prevent a man doing the same.
-
No, she can't. She needs to either go through an abortion & attending misery or carry the baby to term.
-
You can't abort a child you have produced. Not even the most radical feminist has suggested this. Yet.
-
Ah. A woman doesn't have to support her baby if the father has custody in the US? They do here. If adopted neither do.
-
We're both 'here'. Here & the US (I believe) a mother can give a child up without the father's consent (unless he has custody).
-
No! A father can apply for custody and he must be given priority! As far as I have read in fostering & child welfare books.
-
'Can apply'. So, "Yes!", then.
