I see that now so I support pro-choice campaigns & friends making that choice for themselves. Its very important to do so.

I keep trying to get pro-lifers to see the logical failure. I really think most pro-life women motivated by perceiving own embryos as babies
-
-
As a pro-lifer: lol, no.
-
When pro-lifers talk abt babies, late-term abortions, "partial-birth abortions" or "murder", it's what they use
@HPluckrose -
Those who references as babies are an empathy shortcut. Easier to say 'baby' than, 'a fellow human of equal worth'.
-
The use of "baby" is quite misleading, and I for one won't take Appeal to Emotion logical fallacy seriously.
@HPluckrose -
Also seeing an embryo as a fellow human being of equal worth is the same mistake.

do you think the guy should pay support if he doesn't want to keep it? (Ex. teen pregnancy)
-
I'm conflicted but I have to come down on side of 'yes' I think pragmatically. Otherwise state is paying for his child.
-
Its fine saying "Woman wants it & shld pay for it" but can she? Both careless & responsible & children need things.
-
Can't accept "We both caused this problem. If you don't fix it by invasive medical procedure, you're on your own."
-
But I could see a case for woman taking more financial responsibility if she did want baby & he didn't or vice versa.
-
I guess if he wanted the child and she didn't, the final decision goes to her in the end. Which makes sense.
-
Yes, but if she'd go for adoption over abortion & father wants baby, she shld still support but less moral responsibility.
-
I hadn't thought of that option either.

Depends on age

Embryo is 0-8 weeks. Laws make abortion legal upto 20-24 wks in keeping with what is known of brain development.
