Do there exist people who tell themselves 'There's no point worrying about this' and then, having established this, actually don't?

Maybe there are but I'm fairly sure no-one who's ever been told *by someone else* that there's no point worrying has ever found this helpful

Perhaps 'there's no point in worrying abt it' is just a polite way of saying 'can you shut up abt it now, please?" Which is fair enough.

I agree, would prefer they just say "I don't want to hear it, I don't care", seems more honest imo. I translate it to that NEway
