I'd suggest I can show you that men & women have observable brain differences by the fact that I've just done so. https://twitter.com/NurtureMyBaby/status/789963225186074624 …

observable brain differences is not what u originally argued. U said U can assign sex to brains. This has never been done.

Observable brain differences is not 'you can tell men & women's brains apart by looking at them?' What does observable mean?

that eg. is for sake of arg. I think brain diffs are minimal and certainly not proved to be innate. Enviro moulds brain

Show me evidence of your point. Show me men's brains not bigger, dont have more grey matter, don't connect differently.

.@NurtureMyBaby Philosophy does not tell us whether men & women have anatomical differences in their brain. Neuroscience does.

What if philosophy informed by anatomy could predict neural correlates? Would philosophy then be a science?

Would it still be philosophy? Or would it be a scientific hypothesis? I don't know.

Nor do I. Your framing just happened to elicit the question, one which I haven't thought much about before, to tell the truth.

I try not to think about philosophy if I can help it. Boghossian & Blackford have redeemed it somewhat but I'm still wary.

I've gotten the most mileage out of the pragmatists, Dewey and Rorty primarily. There are useful humanist lessons there.

its like asking me for ev that you can't assign M/F based on height by saying prove men aren't on av taller.
