Is that not a principle? Semantic issue, maybe? Seems in keeping with universal liberalism.
But I see that things needing to work for everybody is central to ur pragmatism even if u don't consider this a principle.

Though some conservatives will tell us we're reproducing the humanism & decadence that destroyed Rome. Not sure it did.
