So often disagreements disappear when people clarify what they mean by certain terms. This is why caring what ppl actually mean is vital.

Dictionary definitions should only be supplied to show people what you mean. Never to tell them what they mean.

Fair enough to say you think the way someone is using a word is not the way it is commonly understood & therefore likely to be misleading.

But nothing can be gained from 'This word *does* mean what I say it does and therefore you *do* mean what I'm accusing you of meaning."
