I suspect that's more complicated too.Islam became less tolerant when it stopped being world power & forced out of Europe.
Which is not to say I am not concerned abt other religions. Church of England still oppressive tho not killing LGBTs right now.

26 unelected bishops in the House of Lords which has the power to dismiss bills passed by elected MPs in the House of Commons.

Compulsory Christian worship in schools. Taxpayers money towards this. Church exempt from this.

Christianity is a belief system. If enough ppl in a democracy adhere to its oppressive tenets, human rights are affected.
