@ty2010b and it's true. We don't fear Islam. We just don't want them around.

I fear Islam. Whether or not I want Muslims around depends on how they interpret & live their religion.
-
there is no interpretation. That's Christian projection. Allah is above everything and that's why Islam is shit.
-
crock of shit. Western bullshiting. Start taking these folks seriously. This article is appalling.
-
I do take it seriously. Spend huge amounts of time criticising Islam. But Muslims are not a homogeneous group.
-
If you attack liberal & reforming Muslims as well as Islamists, you lose credibility if u claim to be opposing Islamism
-
hello! Anybody home??? There is no reforming. That shit is just made up to confuse you. :)

victim card trumps ...
-
I'm torn on this because it is using the language of victimhood but it really does present phobia sufferers as bad people.
-
Isn't that like conflating criticism of ISIS with all Muslims? ISIS is Islamic, but not same as are decent Muslims
-
Isn't what like conflating....?
-
Conflating use of 'phobia' (correct or not) with a slur on phobics. It doesn't present all phobics as bad.
@JPSargeant78 -
If 'phobia' also comes to mean 'prejudice against' that does change its value. However, words change all the time.
-
I don't care that much. Just have to be clear whether we're speaking of a psychiatric diagnosis or a bigoted attitude

@MrOzAtheist I'm not sure whether to applaud cos it is a misuse of word 'phobia' that blurs issue or headdesk cos more self-victimisation. -
definitely a headdesk situation.

I think I'll just watch and see how this unfolds! I rather suspect he is deliberately troublemaking!
