As we agonise, imagining them lost, hungry, scared & crying for us, they're probably on an old lady's lap sleeping off salmon.

As always, you are exactly correct. She's back. Lady 3 doors down saw her in her garden at 10pm and decided cat was too small

to be out at that time. She took her in and fed her let her sleep on the sofa. She asked around this morning and was told->

to drop to ring at my address. I managed to remain polite despite this blatant catnapping.

I advised her to let the cat come home next time.

Thank goodness! Yes, ppl shldnt take in other cats even tho they do it with the best of motives. She cldnt have been lost!

A cat lounging in a garden is hardly a sign of distress. She caused my kids (and me) quite some anxiety.
