Men, we may not be Harvey Weinstein or Bill Cosby, but we are collectively complicit with a sexist mind-set rooted in the same toxic culture from which these men emerged. #IamSexist https://nyti.ms/2D1W7GW

This is ignoring the reality that women have a wide range of experiences and opinions and most of us do not feel like this & would rather not be associated with anything so cringemakingly pathetic, self-victimising & sexist. Admit you're listening to the women who agree with you.pic.twitter.com/HAcOBwXEEB

Oh no...do not perpetuate this @nytimes!!!! Do not reduce all men to one thing, we are all (men and women alike) individuals with nuanced opinions, values and beliefs. Groups are made of individuals, not the other way around! This is reductionistic and unhelpful

I think this is the opposite of reductionist as I understand the word. This is stereotyping collectivist guilt. I'm not saying there can't be cultural components but this is far too broad a brush painting whole groups. I and they won't see the stats and beliefs the same way.

I meant it was reductionist to reduce all men to this level of "toxic", though I would agree with what you are saying as well

It sounds like this @nytimes #IAmSexist author is suffering from some serious internalized misandry. Now truth be told, I have thus far refused to add to their click count by clicking on said article. I can see just by the description that it is dripping with #sexism.

All of these "As a white person", "Dear White People", "Men, we..." pieces urging collective "complicity" in vague, yet omnipresent "cultures" are vile. Tin foil hat, paranoid nuttery abt imaginary "systems" mixed with demonizing, villifying whole groups.

So the @nytimes is happy to label my beautiful, darling husband a sexist monster, out of hand, because of a chromosome? For the sake of some woke, spineless virtue signalling? How FUCKING dare you. Come and say it to my face. #speakforyourselfnumbnuts

I want to know what kind of salary & pension package George Yancey gets as the head of the philosophy dept. at Emory university. If anyone wants a reason to be outraged.

As a parent whose son recently graduated from Emory and who paid full tuition, I’m pissed. At least my son didn’t waste his time taking any of Yancey’s courses, where he would’ve undoubtedly been scolded as a racist & misogynist.

Not too mention too many white cis males. Honestly I could not read Tolkien's work, but I respect it a lot.

Omg. I am a guy that finished 700 page books in a day, and for the life of me I could only finish the hobbit. CS lewis was a lot more easier to read even if it was not quite as epic as Tolkien's work.
