I strongly suspect women comment on men's style of dress to a much greater degree. I confess to having very strong opinions on my husband's when we met (gingers really don't look good in bright green, orange or red) which he complied with. I also don't feel oppressed I'd like to add. Slightly annoyed sometimes, maybe. Nagged perhaps. But I'd like to keep words like oppression for things that matter more than being fussed over because of my lack of dress sense.

I get get the uneducated impression that women dress to impress other women, and are judged predominantly by women. I for one have no idea with clothes, I'm in no position to judge!

There's a lot of examples of cultural norms that don't fit the preferred narrative. That said, I would say even the example you provide isn't "oppression." It's too strong of a word.
