No, they don't. One can recognise the reality that trans people exist and that, in some areas, like sport and prisons, their rights and inclusion need to be considered in a class of their own. We wrote this about it.https://areomagazine.com/2017/09/27/an-argument-for-a-liberal-and-rational-approach-to-transgender-rights-and-inclusion/ …
I have no idea. So much of the science shows trans people not to have divergences from the norm that completely matches the opposite sex. Its just closer to it than the sex indicated by their gonads. Non-binary might actually be more accurate. But this is speculation.

I’ve yet to see a fleshed out definition of “non binary”, you can understand how this looks like playing with “identities.” It appears the these identities are considered above sexual orientation too. Does this look ideological to you? It seems postmodern in nature to me.
-
It certainly can be. I see a lot of ideology around it that is postmodern in nature. This can't change the reality of significant differences found in trans people's biology tho. We know ideologues exist who claim trans identity too.
-
One of the best pieces of evidence for that, a geneticist recently told me is that there were always twice as many MtF trans ppl & this seemed in keeping with higher male variability generally. Now there are twice as many girls claiming to be trans & that doesn't make sense.
-
Unless you accept that a lot of what is happening right now is rooted in gender ideology. All the more reason to keep watching the science and hoping to understand this better to avoid misdiagnosis.

I suspect we’re still a long way from definitive science. As you said it’s clear the “trans movement” is being influenced by ideologues, so self ID would be reckless, esp in a country of 65mil. I understand you may support self ID in principle, but do you support it practice?
-
Ps: I really don’t like the idea we’re “extreme”, the trans movement is a very well funded juggernaut with real ideologues, opposition isn’t extreme, imho.
-
Do you have any peer reviewed “hard” trans science? I live with a science editor & I’d like to run through it. I worry “radfems” could be easily labelled “anti-science” b/c often factual findings sound fictional, but I also suspect it’s been co-opted by ideology. Many thanks x

Please check those studies to ensure they are showing sex difference and not sexuality differences. Nonsense results from comparing homosexual male transexuals with heterosexual males. This is a common error in these studies.
