Knowledge claims unwarranted by what can be known were made on both sides according to tribal loyalties. Ideologically-motivated readings of situations are not a problem restricted to one side & this underscores the need to examine our epistemology - how we know what is true.pic.twitter.com/YcmtYiK1VH

Another carefully crafted ‘all things considered both side are equal’ diatribe. But things aren’t, so this isn’t. *funny he would use sexual assault accusations as the base on which to build this assertion as incidents of false accusations are between 2% - 10%

As to the assault accusations against kavanaugh, specifically, his own written words and those of his friend bolstered much of what Christine Blasey Ford asserted about his teenage demeanor.

His teenage demeanor is no measure of his ability to serve in this capacity.

I have to wonder — putting the present case aside — how many of us could measure up if our teen years were subject to detailed scrutiny.

It seems like he was a particular jerk in his teen and well into his college years.

Sure. And I’ve known a fair number of people like that. But that doesn’t obviate my question. Nor does it change the fact that that could be said of many people who straightened out later. (Whether that can be said of him I don’t know.)

The big issue I had was just that he lied about numerous things in his yearbook, from his youth, for no good reason. He could have just said I was a bit of a jerk back then, like many immature boys. And he was overtly partisan, seemed unsuited to the job.

It's pretty conclusive that Kavanaugh was not an appropriate candidate for the Supreme Court!

Then there's the fact that none of her witnesses back her up. Also, speaking as a recovering psych major, the field is absurdly overloaded with incompetents and charlatans. The fact that she's considered "accomplished" in her field doesn't mean much by itself.

[Off topic]ⁿ, but I think psych is great. I chose engineering, but if I had it to do over... But u r right: I was shocked to hear only 8 hours of therapy required for a friend's MFCC, blown away to find therapy now merely "highly recommended." Ludicrous! Criminal! JPN!

Ford has been caught in at least two ridiculous lies. 1) her supposed debilitating fear of flying that she said prevented her from coming to DC when she flies all the time. 2) The renovation was for an illegal rental unit, not to salve her claustrophobia done in 2008 not 2012.
