@RQA Psychologists continue to find how important cultural influences are to the development of our perceptions, and are therefore never benign. If they develop a political meaning, it is because it falls within our lattitudes of acceptance that we learned from our culture.

I'm sympathetic to a point, but that's close to the argument over nature versus nurture, and I'm not sure that's been resolved to anyone's satisfaction.

Where are you coming up with these statements because they aren't reflective of any empirical research? Nature and nurture are both important to cognitive and physiological development but both play an important role w/ some people being more influenced by one over the other.
